For some time I couldn't decide if I thought these were ugly or interesting. Well I finally decided they were interesting and bought this one.
Creta Papillon with strong blue surface iridescence. Polished pontil. I believe it is Loetz production # 59. It is 11 inches high.

I had been eyeing this for a while...nice grab Frank. The form is hard to come by.
Thanks Dr. Tony & czechman.
Hey Frank, you might want to change the name to "Rosensprenkler". Sprengen means "to blow up", as opposed to sprinkle. Although the vase is a dynamite shape, they should be kept as far apart as possible :)
Is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of a Canadian Goose squawking at the top of its lungs? I really need that nesting pair in my backyard to move along now .... :)
Beautiful find!
Beautiful!..:-)
David : thanks for the correction.
I have one in Candia Papillon too.
David : A gold & blue together.......hmmmm.
I love this goose neck shape, and these organic forms are what Art Neuveau is all about. Excellent indeed!
Sully : thanks and I agree......love Art Nouveau.
