I am trying to find out more info on this watch as am selling on behalf of family.
It is a ladies 18ct gold jaeger leCoutre bracelet watch, manual, small face with 18 diamonds around dial(0.03ct). The bracelet is twisted oval with links, 34 claw set diamonds (0.04ct)
Any information about this watch or possible suggestions as to where it could have a good home for the future would be grately appreciated
Beautiful ! I would suggest you take it to a jeweler and have a appraisal . Since we can not on here by a photo validate ,diamonds, gold ect . It needs to be seen in person by a Gem expert . There are several places to sell it online but you will need papers to verify it as authentic to buyers . We do not sell or buy on this site but it was nice to see your friends stunning watch . Welcome to CW where we share collectibles and knowledge along with helping to ID items when we can . Several jewelry experts on site I will let them chirp in as they know more than I do on jewelry .
Thankyou. We've had it appraised but would like to find somewhere reliable to try and sell it. I'm based in NW London / Hertfordshire. Is there anywhere that you could recommend?
We have some people on here from your area that might have a idea I am in US . Hopefully someone from London will come on and give you a idea . I would think there are major Auction sites in you local area vs selling online . Just a thought :-) see as day goes if anyone comes on CW can give you an idea in your area .
This watch would be circa 1950. Cocktail watches where beauty and function come together. It is a back wind model (the adjustment wheel is hidden from view) and this is a sign of higher quality. The name of course is that of great Swiss watch maker. Ladies watches aren't as collectible (or as high priced) as men's watches, however at auction a watch like this should bring between $5,000 and $8,000. Your best venue for sale would be a large auction house who specializes in fine jewellry, you can expect to pay around 20% of its sale value in commission fees. If you have the original box and papers, the value is greater. Forget seeing your local jeweller or "cash for gold" kiosk, this is a fine timepiece and it's a specialized market. Good luck, it's a beauty.
Hello Sesh, I know it has been 8 years ago from your post but I am interested did you sold this watch, is it still in UK. This is very beautiful watch.

Sanja
Nope - this is a one-and-done entry here.
