my grandfather has left me this beutiful lamp and i would like to kw a little bit more about it if possible, all i know is it is very heave, the stems up to the lightshades are decorated in lovely ivy leaves, and the base has a girl sitting on a bench with a boy kneeling next to her, and the words confidence on a plaque in the middle of the base. Any help would be great, oh, i think it might be italian-ish as he always had a passion for italian things.
FANTASTIC and WOW!!
Welcome to CW!
Thanks guys
I would think French! "Confidence" is french and means telling a secret to the one you love or trust ....like to Confide in English. The person kneeling is telling the girl something "Special". The green patination looks applied on so I would think it would be recent. RER (LOUMANAL)
Thanks guys for your help, it does have a pattern mark on the back of the lamp, joe or joc or similar if thats any use to anyone :)
