LOOK AT THIS, LOOK AT THIS!!! I'm very very very proud of my new cardboard display!!!! I love this display ever since I saw it and always always wanted one and look! I GOT ONE! Dont mean to be going on and on about it, but truly love this display!
Made in the 1930's during the great depression (im assuming) and still here today! Cardboard items dont survive to well, this old girl held, 4 six packs thats 24 filled glass bottles and didnt fall apart. I'm assuming alot of these displays fell apart over the years from heavy six packs being set on them, and these not being very easy to store. I believe mine is in good to very good condition, i'm very glad to have it in my collection, it took forever for it to come in the mail.
I decided to put this display as my center piece on my main wall. I hope you guys enjoy seeing it on here, because your not going see this girl on the market ever again!
Sharp, very nice!
Cool!!!!
Great find Trev! Looks like the perfect addition to your collection, and you are so right, very rare item, I've not seen one till now!
That is SWEET, for sure.... I would still work on that other one too, there has to be a way buddy!!!
Thanks for the comments fifties50s, jameyrd, Cocacola22, Bernie, Ray, and Tommy!
Glad to hear your jealous of my new addition Ray, I thought I would finally get a "love it" on this one lol. To tell you the truth I stumbled on this piece purely on LUCK!
I was surfing ebay couple weeks ago, and saw a great deal on a 1930's pencil set, paid the BIN (only 25$) and checked out what other items the seller had. I noticed the seller had a bunch of coca cola items, so i emailed him and asked him if he had any items not listed on ebay yet. Sure enough this beauty was sent to me in a picture along with another carrier (1950's cardboard display stand) that I was unable to get. The shipping for this display was 50$ and going be 150$ if I went for both so just grabbed the one I couldnt go without.
Glad to hear you guys really like it, thanks for the love: fifties50s, jameyrd, Cocacola22, Bernie, ttomtucker, Tommy, and blunderbuss2!
Good job being proactive in sniffing out a scarce cardboard display, Trevor. Fits great with your carrier collection. And the verts look sweet too. Well Done.
That is an awesome piece Trevor! I too am jealous!
Thanks Dave and Bill! This display is the cherry to my carrier collection, my only problem now is not sure what were the original carriers for this display. The carriers you already seen displayed on it are doubles in my collection (rough condition so ended up replacing). I would like to know what were the originals to this display? This display almost looks like it could have been used during Christmas season, I took a picture of my hoilday carriers on it and they look great! Picture 4 is the rest of my cardboard carriers, not sure if I possibly already have one of the carriers that belonged to this display let me know what you guys think.
Thanks for the loves: Designer, Bill, and Ray!
