Found this neat little 5 1/2 " blue parrot spill - bud vase or flower frog at Salvation Army today. They had it in their display case and it was only $1.99 ! Research showed it was a piece of Czechoslovakian pottery. They are call "dime mark" birds because of the little red stamp on the bottom. Some are almost illegible and blurred. Mine isn't much better but it says "Made in" at the top"Czecho" in the middle and "Slovakia" at the bottom of the stamp and then the number "22" on the bottom. They have some value 20-100 dollars depending on the color and size. I think I have one of the better color combos. My parrot is blue and sits on a brown tree trunk while others might have green trees. There are 3 openings for "spills" or flowers in it's trunk. Mine has just a tiny nick in the front opening. I think it's quite nice and I learned something new ! -Mike-
