Chinwasori Style Hanging Brass Ceiling Lantern/Converted Gas Lamp

Yet another auction find, a German made Gas Lamp now converted to electric. Around the mantle is etched, Made in Germany * Incandescent Gas Light London. It has 747 on top of the side decoration and A.T. on the other! Anyone any ideas? It also has a lovely floral decoration all the way around the shade holder and a very ornate gas tap, which unfortunately I have not captured here. It also has the extra shade higher up which was presumably used when it was a gas lamp! Anyway, I am sure some of the terminology here is incorrect but I do not know a great deal about lamps! Just could not resist a bargain when no one else went above £15!! Will be off to the next flea market in July!
