I got these 2 signs giving to me back in 98' from as tire shop. They said they were going to toss them in the trash and didn't know the age of them. The shop never hung them up as they found them in a wall they tore down in their warehouse. The store had been a Firestone store in the 60'-90's. Any idea of age and price of these would be great.
Thanks Donnie
I just sold one for $160
Condition is everything. These are non-porcelain/enamel, painted and while original, a bit rough. $80-100 ea.
Chip, these are just dirty no scratches or rust on them. The white is just faded a little, i would say 8-9 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best.
Your right Chip Lamb condition is everything and it was a non-porcelain sign but I had a customer that wanted for his collection and paid $160
thanks guys, i'm going to display them in my garage over seeing my mussle car so can anyone tell me about what year they are from?
If I were guessing, I'd say from the 60's but don't hold me to that.
hey officialfuel did you notice the one you sold me is not reflective.Mine looks the same otherwise, maybe that helps date it.I bet someone here knows
So do you think yours is older?
I've got the 2 of theese that have reflective paint on them and remebered 1 that i have hanging in the garage. I now remember having to put it there because it is approx 1 1/2-2' taller and vertical letters that are non reflective, received at same time from same place.
I plan on placing these above my car with black lights on them to let them shine.
