Work is progressing very quickly on the house -- so thought i would share some of the most recent photos on the renovation process -- i never in my wildest dreams thought i would see the beams and bare skeleton of this home -- it is interesting however to see where all the plumbing, wiring, vents etc etc are located -- things that i have always been curious about in regards to "what's behind those walls"

pics 1 and 2 were in my second posting on the fire

    www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/92017-huffy-bike--additional-fire-pics?in=user

pic 1 is where the bed sat and pic 2 is of the master bedroom closet with mirror and shelved removed which are showing on the above site

pic 3 is of the master bedroom showing one of the vents where the smoke traveled -- much of the wall board was totally black on the other side -- that house was very close to exploding due to all the pressure from the gases that were starting to build between the walls and the vents

pic 4 is of the family/tv room looking out into the garage area -- the goodwill couch posting shows what the room looked like prior to the fire

hope all of you are fine and doing well

Hope they get your home put back together quickly for you. Looks like they're doing it right. Be sure they treat what structure remains for smoke smell while the walls are open.

thanks charlie, nldionne and kev for the comments and love -- these guys are all over this house like stink on a skunk -- kennedy restoration has some excellent contractors -- have yet to meet one that was not a total professional and very intelligent --

just got back from the house charlie and one of the contractors was there informing me of their process to detect smells using a hydrogen peroxide process -- if a wall has not been removed the process will accent the smoke smell and they will know that the wall needs to be torn down also -- basically most of the wallboard has been removed through out the inside of the house -- really impressed with the quality of the home -- the installation must be at least 12 inches thick -- but it has all been removed and will be replaced with new

lodie the 2000 honda prelude is done and will be picked up probably tomorrow -- will post her this week -- she received a new paint job as some of the areas on her hood, top around the moon roof and trunk had small blistering -- then she will go back into storage as she only has 58,000 miles

again thanks guys -- i appreciate your support and knowing we are in your thoughts and well wishes -- CW MEMBERS -- YOU ROCK AND ARE THE BEST!!!!!

Coming along Ep. Did you get the insurance pinch-penny run-around. You don't live in the Islands where for every man working, 3 have to be watching do you? Of course you don't because it's moving to fast.

      hi blunder --

always good to hear from you -- no hartford has just been super -- in fact when i placed a value on some of the lost or destroyed items -- they were kind enough to say -- no we can do better than that -- let's use this price -- now that is totally unheard of in my opinion -- feel like alice in wonderland and asked myself what the catch might be -- but so far there has been none -- they are just a super insurance company that knows who to contract with to get you back to the beginnings or better before the fire -- we found hartford via AARP -- when my wedding ring was stolen 3 years ago -- they were there for us on that one also -- have a great week

thanks phil -- i am sure it will all work out -- the loss was just material items -- the real items saved was ted, abby and myself -- we get another day to live on this beautiful planet and share with others be they human or "animal" or plant --
