This carrier measures 11-1/2 in. by 9 in. and has aluminum sides with steel bottom and dividers. The metal handle is designed to slide down below the top of the body of the carrier for easier shipping I suppose. There is a stamp on the side under the Coca Cola Bottling stamp that says "CAMERON, TEXAS" and below that the manufacturer is listed as: METAL CARRIER CORPORATION, GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN". The two metal divider rods running the length of the carrier have a coiled metal wire around them, I suspect to help hold the bottles in. Haven't seen this anywhere and thought it might be a rare find??

Not that rare but a cool carrier nonetheless.

Thanks, Perry. Any idea when these 12 pack carriers were in use. The Cameron, TX bottling company has been gone for a number of years, but not sure of the date.

This carrier rarely pops up in Canada, you see it on ebay every now and than, but pricey to ship to Canada so pretty rare up here. I really like this carrier, I have been trying to get one for myself, but again its a pretty pricey to ship these to Canada, so have not had much luck yet. If you still curious of when these carriers were in use, it was during the 1950's.

Thanks, Trevor. Just put it on ebay. Not sure how expensive to ship to Canada, but it weighs less that 2 pounds so it shouldn't be too much. Hopefully someone will open the bidding so it will show up in CW's auctions.

I kinda hoped it would have gone a bit higher, closer to book value, so I could feel good about having one too, lol.
