I recently saved 26 of these chairs from going to the landfill. In the process of refinishing them I noticed they were stamped "Made in Yugoslavia ?IIX?" with two other ink stamps United Chair and Furniture Inc. Canada and 5020#. I was told that these chairs could be considered collectibles as Yugoslavia does not exist as a country anymore. I cannot find any information on them - can anyone help me??? Thanks. Sandra
all I can say is GREAT JOB!!!! Most likely mid 1900 import used in a bar or restaurant copying the Windsor style. But I would hate to see any chairs thrown out. 26!!! You must have a lot of space!
Thanks, wish I could have saved more of them, breaks my heart that they were dumped and yes they were from an old bar lol...very comfy chairs and beautiful workmanship.
Hi, well I still don't have any answers for the chairs - would like to sell them, but not sure what they are worth - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.
