Some model ships I just bought. The first one is of the Bounty 25" long and 27" high, next a 1350's pirate ship 27"long and 24" high and lastly The Black Pearl 19"long and 19" high. the first two are very light balsa wood or something, The last one seems heavier than the other two put together. Says on them "this is not a toy keep away from children". Guess I won't be playing with them in the bath.

A friend of mine bought a 5 star musee' quality kit & gave up after he got the hull half way finished. I like that sort of thing so volunteered to finish it. Took about a year. When he came to pick it up with a van, I had tied model car tires along the sides for "fenders". He panicked at 1st but finally started laughing. It was a model of a 1500's Danish ship. Have pics somewhere.

Be nice to see it. Luckily these were all made and only had to stand the masts up and hook the rigging up. "the way I like to do things easy "

Lucky you! That 1 I did was 48" tall & I think 34" loa. Never want to tackle another one like that! I'll see if I can dig up some pics & post. The one I did was so high a quality that the guy paid for a van to come from S. FL to TX to pick it up.
