Upon returning from vacation, I had this beauty waiting for me. BIN auction (of course), pounced on it 16 minutes after it came up a little over 50% book value. Took awhile to find the right spot for display. I settled on the corner above the Standard Ice. 100% original and it sure does show it. Seller forgot to send the letters, so I mocked up a message until I receive them. The lighted signs are great. They really pop and also cast light on other pieces.
Hope everybody is enjoying a wonderful first weekend of summer. Beautiful here in Michigan (for the next couple months, anyway!).

Daddy scores another hit!! Nice sign Dave, & your watching the pickers again! The room looks fab brother!!
Thanks Bernie! My new motto is "if it's rough, it's right".
Would you consider taking this apart and spraying the frame? or just leave it alone and enjoy the patina!! Tough choice, I like it either way!
If I can find something non-permanent to cover the missing paint, I may go that route. One of the reasons I put it in the corner, is so the rim is the only visible portion of the case. In the dark, it's not noticeable at all. But I'm not against touching it up.
It's not rough... it's just well worn, and obviously not worn out!!!! Nice BIN and it does have some TIN !!
Right you are Tommy! Thanks for stopping by. Hope it's going good.
I really like these light up signs, looks like you found a great spot for yours!
That's what I would've done with it too Dave!
Thanks Trevor and Perry for the kind words, great to hear from you as always.
Thank you Ray for the info, good stuff.
I received the letters for the lighted menu board today. Arts and crafts time started soon after. I had to convert two O's to C's, turned an L into an E, then fabricated an H, A, and K using photo printer, thick paper stock, a plastic sleeve, gluestick. I'm no artist, so I'm damn proud of the way it turned out.
Looks good from here !!!!
Thanks Tom. I love it when a piece looks better on display than it did in the listing. This sign came with enough original letters to mostly spell out the message I wanted, plus all 5 of the original plastic sleeves. Just amazing it's remained intact over the years. I always imagine where these signs may have hung, and I can see this one in a 60's bar or diner.
