Trancel Model T-7 (6 Transistor)which I stumbled upon at a Flea Market near Baltimore. Has the original leather case but the leather strap is missing. Radio works on 9V battery , the volume was low but was able to hear WBAL 1090 AM on it. It has the Reverse Painted dial and is a very good looking unit. It also has the "CD Marks" (Civil Defense) between the 6 & 7 and the 12 & 16 on the dial. In case of a National Emergency(remember this radio was made during the height of the Cold War) all radios stations except the CD Marks stations would go off of the air. You would just dial to one of the CD Marks(they look like triangles)
This radio was manufactured in Japan by Tokyo Shibura Electric Co (Toshiba). It was made for the Excel Trading Corp. Excel Trading used the name Trancel when selling this unit.
