1st Version - The watch minute & hour hands simply coming out of Bugs left hand.
2nd Version - Bugs left hand holding a stalk.
3rd Version - Bugs left hand holding a green bush.
For ease of comparison, I have put them side by side.
Note : Fellow member Crazycharacter did some research on old adverts and can confirm that these watches fist appeared in 1948.

As you know, I've been digging through ads lately. :-)
I've also been doing some research on the Bugs watches as I hope to get them added to my site soon.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I just found out these first appeared in 1948!
Adam, I'm not surprised at all! Info from books are often wrong, also they could have printed the ads well before you can get them in shops! Great research you are doing! Can't wait for your site to be up and running!

I opened the forum yesterday, but I am still running tests and messing around with the layout.
It's pretty generic, but I guess you get what you pay for (it was free) I will probably look into getting a nicer forum layout when I have the time.
I'm going to shut the forum section down and just redo it today...to a nice layout. They will be up soon!

Great article! Thanks. BTW, there's still another dial variant; the one I have, instead of red solid numerals, has black skeleton ones with luminous filling... and skeleton "poker" hands also with luminous filling.
