I found this little viking face/bust at a public park in the dirt in Chicago 20 plus years ago. It's about an inch long and pretty flat, maybe an emblem. It looks like it was attached to something via the two metal points on the back at one time. I thought it was the best "treasure" find ever when I was little and I hope someone out there can tell me what it was from and solve my viking mystery.
I know this was posted years ago but I think you'll find your lovely viking head is off a belt buckle. I've seen similar in skulls, deer heads and gothic creatures. You'll see on the back where the metal loop thingy (don't know the name) was attached in two places. Nice find.
