    Yes, I still have 8-tracks and many are Q8 quadraphonic tapes which is basically the surround sound of the 1970's. A stereo receiver has only two channels of sound, but the quads double it to four and the processor decodes the recording for a nice live sound. Close your eyes and You will hear drums over there, guitar coming from the other side of the room, keyboards might sound like there coming from behind, etc etc, pretty cool especially at 4:20 pm.

      Gotta love those "Quad" systems. My 280D SS reel-reel is Quad, but pushing through a Stereo system, miss the true sound.

      Thanks Eye4, now that will be bouncing around in my head all day :-). I was thinking some "Moody Blues" or Ted Nugget, but Frankenstein is in the brain now...........

      Just picked up a working example of this model today. The video game like balance screen is very cool.
