I'm fond of this perfume bottle because the cut glass is uneven, giving it handcrafted or unique sense to its design. It was produced in Germany between 1945 - 1950. Products from Germany during WW2 were marked accordingly for export, this perfume bottle is marked U.S. Zone. After a bit of research, I found British and French variations of zone marking.
I've added an image that shows the original sticker on the base of the bottle, and a high-resolution scan of the same sticker. It was difficult to initially read the markings, but the foil/paint on the sticker is easier to read by alternating the lighting and reading perspective.
I purchased this bottle at a thrift store just North of Philadelphia, PA. I used to collect handmade glazed ceramic and stoneware mugs, and thrift stores can sometimes hold hidden gems; I found this bottle lost amongst the cups and mugs, clearly out of place. I liked it immediately, and it was a good find for only $3 USD. I swapped the last of a small bottle of Miss Dior (Cherie) to this beautiful little bottle and it keeps it just as sweet!
Approximate measurements: 4.25" tall, 1.5" widest diameter.
