For a company like Haeger that just started out making bricks, this is quite a leap !! I just love Royal Haeger designs. Royal Hickman partnered with them in 1938 to form "Royal Haeger" J. Martin Stangl also worked for Haeger from around 1914 then eventually opened his own company. Eric Olsen joined them in 1947. This 15 " vase would have been one of a pair (R-706). I have the leaping Gazelle. The other vase has just a standing Gazelle. They came in several colors too white thru black but I like this combo best. There are little spots of white on the Gazelle's back and the whole tail with just a touch of green in the grass. There are 4 glaze chips to the piece the worst being the hoof and a couple nicks in the top edges.... GW strikes again ! Not too bad and it was marked "as is". Chips I can live with but not cracks. I can't figure out why these vintage pieces are so cheap. I probably could have found a perfect one online for what I paid for this one, but once I get these pieces in hand all reason goes out the window ! -Mike-

Is your dog a haeger sniffing dog:)

I'd rather she sniffed out Roseville and for some odd reason she keeps pointing south...lol . Haeger is easy to find around here at least the newer florist pieces. The vintage Royal stuff is mostly in the retail shops. That's why I didn't mind the few nicks on this piece. Then occasionally a good piece of McCoy like my jardinere. I found a little McCoy wishing well planter today at Salvation Army but it was really damaged. A chip out of the wells roof, the vines going up the sides were chipped and a glued piece on the base. It was only $2.99, but I passed. I might go back for it if it's still there tomorrow. I felt sorry for it. You probably have one like it I'm sure :)

Yep, the wishing well at SA was exactly like the last picture, but there were obvious chips and a glued piece. They only wanted 3 bucks, but that's probably all it's worth. Knew you had to have that one ...lol. The cat one is cute too ! oh...and so are your new babies :)

You sure found some great pieces too ! Lalique ! I've never even seen a piece of that around here. Both you and Moonstone always seem to find the most awesome signed glassware.

Sad to hear Eye..but they've had a long run compared to some other potteries that's for sure.

Eye & Mike, I was just fixing to mention that also; so sad that they've made a 150 year run, and now have to close due to foreign competition. Hmmm, thinkin' they should hold off a bit, just in case Trump has a say in all of this. (No, I'm not pushing any political views LOL.)
