Impressive Large Carp Figurine / Unknown Maker or Age

I saw this and grabbed it immediately. It came from the same GW that I bought my Haeger Gazelle vase from today. A beautiful large carp figurine in neutral colors. It's 11" long and 9 " high made of a quite heavy stone like ceramic but it is hollow. Has an incised mark and a painted mark both illegible, at least to me. I don't think it's Chinese which would be typical. I have no clue as to where it came from. Any thoughts? -Mike-
