I acquired this tractor just over a year ago but I've run into a problem in locating a front nose piece. I have another tractor and if I can't find one I'm considering making a fibreglass mold off of it and recreating it.
It's in the right hands to get the royal treatment! Can't wait to see it finished!!

I have the exact same Thistle Major that's pictured here, but in very very good condition.
Any idea what it might be worth?
Some details : Original papers, original paint, ( as perfect as you can realistically expect the paint to be), the rubber "exhaust pipe" is missing, but other than that, it's pretty solid.

I have another Thistle tractor that I restored which is also posted on this site as part of my collection. As to the value of yours which is in original condition it is really hard to say without seeing a photo. The number of collectors of Canadian Thistle models is a lot less than collectors of U.S. ones and the Canadian made Thistles are a lot rarer because fewer we made but the demand from collectors doesn't usually reflect this unless you find the right buyer and it should be worth more compared to a U.S. model. Having said all of this I broad figure would be $500 - $1000. I hope this is of some assistance.

I am heading out to storage to take some pictures of several items tomorrow, including the thistle. I'm actually selling it for a very sweet old lady, and would like to surprise her by fetching the best possible price. Where do you think is a good place to look for buyers? (By the way, if you were interested, I can send you the pics as well :)
I'm glad I could offer some assistance. Yes, if you don't mind I would like to see some photos. Like I said finding a buying can be a challenge. I do know that some of the pedal cars that I have purchased were found using kijiji, which is an online classified advertising page.
