I found this on the east side of Cleveland. The shop owner said it was a neighbors, from the late 1800s. I adore this trunk. It appears to be about 24 inches high, 20 inches deep and has pressed tin with real wood strips over it. The botton has smaller rollers and the inside has lithographs.
I'm not interested in an appraisal...this is a keeper, but I'd like to know anything about the history. Thanks! Love this site!

Lovely waterfall or 'monitor' style from the time period you suggest. Great size and wonderful all the compartments are intact. Brass lock with cast iron finger lift over it -- just great! Thanks for letting us see it.
