Weird little container but very intersting..And a Snuff bottle? From Mexico

I have this little container with the face of a girl on the front. It is supposed to pull apart/open but it is stuck shut. there is something inside but I cannot get it open and dont want to damage the piece. Not sure of it's orgin or what it was used for..

Also I have a bottle maybe a Snuff bottle from Mexico that looks pretty old and it is stamped Mexico on the bottom and other markings but I cannot tell what it says..

Just thougt I would share.. If anyone knows what these are please share! Thank you!!
