This is a lovely set of antique Chinese Kingfisher bird feather pins/brooches. These pieces were prized by royalty and denoted
status and wealth. They were eventually banned in China and the
only pieces sold now are antique pieces.

Actually, a lot of pieces sold now are modern or refurbished vintage, inlaid with dyed feathers of some other, not endangered birds.
Right, the originals with genuine kingfisher feathers are the antiques.

lack of details to identify. As far as I know, there are some kingfisher jewellery been exported from China in 70-80s. I am trying to collect kingfisher items as well, but not easy to spot.
