What is Thekla?
thats what on the bottom part , and says Made in West Germany
Is that a wood knob?
Does the spout come off to get water in?
yes to both
do you know anything about it?
All I found was an image of another one.
I found Thekla on the German Map, but would have been in East Germany, so that's a dead end.
wierd says west on it
Thekla, Germany is named after Thecla a saint of the early Christian Church.
Is it possible the company was named after that saint, or the company was named after the East German town.
i cant find anymore things written on it except something under the name which says reiner kupferboden
rein translates to pure
kupferboden translates to copper bottom
but you wouldnt have a clue around what era or years this is?
Right after WWII possibly, there would have been an abundance of copper & brass available.
thanks alot for the help
most welcome, I like a mystery
