Has been in family for 50+ years the original horse hair cushions are gone (my mother was allergic to them). The back (vertical) is 45", the width is 29" (armrest to armrest), the length folded is 25" unfolded is 46". The back reclines in degrees from 90 to flat. When unfolded the foot rest adjusts. it has wooden casters. I would appreciate any additional information about it. Label = Burr Folding Bed Co

Does anyone know anything more about this piece?

I had one of these chairs, and sold it at the Rose Bowl Flea market in the mid 1970's. Here some info I found on a internet search of Victorian folding chair.

A Victorian painted iron patent chair [or lounge chair], New York, late 19th century, reclining chair with ratcheted iron frame, painted and stencil decoration, walnut [shaped] crest and frame with probably original caning, frame with traces of stenciled signature for "Marks A.F. Chair Co., Limited, 816 Broadway, New York", possibly original upholstery on arms, New York. [Made by Marks Adjustable Folding Chair Company.]

I have one of these chairs as well! Like yours, my cushions are no longer in existence and your weave (whatever it is made from) appears to be in better condition than mine. I am also missing the fabric arms on the chair. The only information I can offer is that ours was acquired from a Catholic Church and it was in the priests rectory. Mine has a patent date of Dec 1892. Please, if you ever get anymore information on it can you pass it along to me? Thanks!
