I went verticle a couple weeks ago and snagged this off a Craigslist ad. It has a couple issues, but, for less than half of book value, I'm happy to display it until a minty one comes along at a reasonable price.
I'm running out of superlatives to describe your hot streak Tommy! Vertilicious!!!!!
It's in really good shape still Tommy, just right. I've seen folks buy signs in much worse condition than that. I have some creases and dings in mine too. Adds to the look.
Thanks Folks for the comments and loves. Which eye you squint determines how good it looks. lol
Let me know when you find a better condition one, because I would love to have this sign, squint squint, yep looks great ;)
Looks good to me too Tommy!! It's a keeper fer sure!
Question... What's more collectible... Coke or pepsi?
That is kind of a tough question to answer, only because that depends on which you prefer collect. However, it would appear that Coca-Cola has the lion's share of the soda collectible market. A quick check of ebay shows 41,678 items listed under "pepsi" and only 123,864 listed under Coca-Cola....... you be the judge.
I wouldn't say it's harder to find, more like there is more Coke out there due to the fact that Coke pushed hard to put its name literally everywhere and on everything and they had a pretty big head start doing it.
Coca cola started in 1886 when pepsi started in 1898 I believe
I would say that the older Pepsi stuff is much harder to find because there wasn't anywhere near as many made of the original 2 dotted or dashed Pepsi signage as there were Coke. The machines are much harder to find as well in Pepsi.
Old Pepsi stuff may be rarer, but Old Coca-Cola stuff brings the Benji's.
True Dave but if someone found an older Pepsi machine with the double dashes, it would bring close to 10k. Finding one in decent condition is the hard part.
Yeah. But it's... Pepsi. urp.
Yep Signaholic, I would love some more Coke stuff but I grab any double dot Pepsi I find!
LOL, Dave, you're too funny. It is true, but I don't collect Pepsi either. Now Ed, that's another story! You're right Ed, if those machines are out there, you better have some serious money ready.
Ya know, blue is my favorite color, but, red is my favorite collectible.....
Red, White and Blue! how can you go wrong! LOL
Ok, you got us there! Go America!!!
