: I am rebuilding a 1933 Waco ULA airplane that was originally manufactured in Troy, Ohio. These aircraft utilize a Sesamee suitcase type hasp lock on the two luggage compartments that are installed on the aircraft as shown in the photograph. The Waco Aircraft Company apparently bought these locks in bulk to install on their airplanes. Sesamee also sold these locks to trunk and luggage companies. The hasp lock that I need has tumblers above a round knob that acts as a latch to release the hasp. Sesamee later went to a different style mechanism that has a latch on the side of the tumblers. These later Sesamee locks are fairly easy to locate. Thus far, I have been unable to locate the early version of this hasp lock. I am wondering if anyone has any information on where I may locate or purchase one of these locks.
