I need help to identify who made this lamp, when, and where. It once belonged to my great Uncle and I've been trying to identify the stamp on the bottom of the base for years. It appears to be a sail ship and reads something like "Sail as Bros" and looks like a 3 stamped next to it on the base. Thanks, Mike
Collectors Weekly has a page on Slag Glass Lamps.

Maybe someone will know this one.
Good Luck, Dave
If you can get a clearer picture, I may make out what it has on it. This piture is to blurry. Dave
Thanks, I will try for a clearer picture.
That's as clear as the trademark will appear. It is a Sail ship on the water, on the sail it is stamped "Sail as or in Bros" and a large number 3 stamped inside the circle as well.
Can't anyone help me identify this maker ?
You have a Salem Brothers lamp.
I thank you, but what else can you tell me from the pictures I have posted. Does Salem Bros. have a trademark of a sail ship in a circle?
Salem Brothers They use a sail ship in a circle. 1920-30s very nice lamp. At one period of time, slag glass lamps were trashed as junk if they broke. Now they have good value between $450- $1,000 depending on the lamp. Some are just better than others.
