I started my collection (thanks mom)of a 50/60's style kitchen w/the kitchen table set and GE Electric stove my mother bought in 1959 at Friedman Railroad Salvage in St Louis, Mo. BUT since dear o'mom says I don't get them until such time that she passes away I decided to add to my collection by buying a gas stove to use in my own house until then. I have owned several 40/50/60's kitchen appliances over the years but it wasn't until recent years that I wanted to do my complete kitchen in older appliances to take me back to a time in my youth.
I bought this from the original owners family & it was used until last year when the owner passed away. I was surprised how clean it was and that one of the front burners has a temp control on it, first one I have seen. Anybody know where to find history on the company that made these stoves.
we have the same one. from the 1960s. Do you know the MODEL NUMBER? we found the tag location but cannot read it. The tag is behind the exhaust duct (you have to take it off with the 4 screws) and it's on the horizontal surface behind that vent.that temp regulator burner is giving us problems and needs fixing.
