Old jar of Pain Killer Ointment

I spent much of today pulling or should I say fighting bamboo roots from the ground before they spread any further. I have been having a lot of pain where my femur connects to my hip bone, and this stuff seems to work fairly well. I found it while setting up for an auction last year, and wish I could get a 5 gallon pail of more. Milroy PA is a few towns up from me, so a locally made ointment.
The label reads as follows, "PAIN KILLER OINTMENT, price 50 cents, A preparation to be applied externally in the treatment of headache, rheumatic and neuralgia pains, asthma, etc. Directions: rub the affected parts thoroughly several times with ointment until the pain is subdued. Will not blister. In the treatment of catarrh and asthma place a small portion, size of a bean in a cup of boiling water and inhale the vapor. Prepared by H.A. Mitchell, Milroy, Penna"

Does anyone know what they put in this stuff ?
