This item was found in the backwoods of Western North Carolina. It looks to be some type of axe head, it is thin, is very light in weight, just under a pound at 14.3 oz., and is not magnetic which means it does not attract a magnet.
It measures 7 1/2 inches long, blade end measures 3 3/4 inches wide and the thickest back end measures 1 inch thick.
Don't know if this item could possibly be some type of North Carolina Native American artifact.
Any helpful comments and or opinions will be appreciated.

Welcome to CW! Thinking some sort of Antique Farm ax tip or weapon? The base would have been wood or wood metal to hold it into place.
