I Don't have a clue what this is or what it was used for? I found it in and old garage but it caught my eye because it is so different then anything that I had ever seen. The old garage was also my uncles who was 98 when he passed away a few years ago. Need help to Identify what this is for? It is made out of Iron I think it feels much like one of my cast iron fry pans if that helps. It is really heavy, base to tip of antler it is 5 in tall and is 7.5 in wide tip of nose to to tip of antler.

      Hello,
What you have here is part of an ink well. There may be a round decorative part that would sit down in the rim of the base. There should be a glass insert and a lid that would match the casting of the piece. The antlers could be used to hold a pen. Keep looking through stuff and you may find the rest of it. Very nice piece.

Hmm Thanks for the information I would of never guessed what this is. I could tell that he held something but had no clue what exactly. I did look around the day that I found it but didn't see what your describing. Unfortunately the property has sold and I don't have access there any more.

The other pieces may have been gone along time ago anyway and that is all that is left. Still a neat piece to sit around for decoration.
