Finally something showed up at GW today in the pottery department ! This neat 10"x 7"x 2 1/2" shallow art deco styled dish by McCoy. Nice detail on it's base. I think it looks like it's from the 50's. It's marked McCoy USA #1301 and done in a pumpkin colored speckled glaze. A teeny tiny glaze miss on the edge. Doesn't feel like a chip as it's smooth. I guess it could be used for fruit or whatever, but I think you could put a floral frog in the recess inside and do a very nice arrangement. The pink price sticker qualified it for 50% off. From ten to five bucks...priceless ! -Mike-
BTW, great smile :)))
Why thank you Moon..(blush).
You are most welcome!!!!
You better lay off my McCoy or I will send the pottery popo:)
Don't tell me you don't have one or several of these...lol !
No I do not believe I have this one!!!! I will check. Up to 117 McCoys.
Is it one of your top 100 ??
I'll check right now. I cannot drive my brand new John Deere so I have time because of rain:)
Rain rain go away.. I wanted to drive my Caddy today. Hasn't been out of the drive in a month !
Had the same one in green. Half my research said it was a berry bowl, half said a florist piece. Personally I thought florist.
Yep the recess looks like it's made for that purpose. I did see a picture online and they had lemons in it.
Sorry not on top 100. I will try to find in one of these books to see what it says.
This color might be rare. The two I've seen online are either green or white. They are described as low planters, console bowls, or floral centerpieces.
I have my trusty Hyundai Elantra for that. Caddy is just my historical vehicle.
very nice smile MIKE!!! HAPPY 4TH TO YOU!!!! :)
Thanks Sean and Happy 4th to you as well :)
