Just picked this double sided sign up the other day, have had a hard time finding anything like it on-line to compare to. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Pat

Scrip is a form of coupon, during the Rationing era of WW2 when you had Gas coupon books. I found 1 that sold on eBay back in 2006 for $420.00. Dave
Great looking double sided porcelain sign. What a find!
Thanks for the info, through my investigation I identified that scrip was also used in company towns of the past, that were cash poor, like mining towns etc. I did'nt spend a fortune on this item, however due to the appearent rareity of this sign and it's condition $420 seems low, I also understand this is a price from 2006. Anybody else may have an idea of value?
The value of the sign is what ever you can get out it, I've seen an item appraised for $500 but it sold for $750 and I've seen it go the other way and it sold for $375. If someone wants it bad enough they will pay your price.
Officialfuel is correct, depends on where you live, that was 4-5 yrs back. B ut econmoy was good then and people were willing to dish of the bucks. Now? I would retail it if it were mine at $600.00 and work from there. Dave
I agree withDizzydave.
By the way, since it has California on the sign it could bring the high end of price range. Mainly around the San Fransisco area. Dave
Thank you guys, appreciate your input, I agree 100% if I were ever to sell it, or anything for that matter will have to find the right buyer. For now it is just another good sign to add to my collection.
What I would do is have someone make a mount for the sign to slip into and mount it on a wall so you can see both sides. Dave
Dizzydave, that is my project for today, thanks again.
