    Hi, inherited this from mom and suspect it was her grandmas, oak trim, tin with decoration and color on the outside, was hoping the picture may help to Identify date and origin, thanks.

      Opps -- upside down pic!! Lovely trunk in great shape. You have a dome top trunk made between late 1890's to around 1910. Unfortunately its origin will remain a mystery without a makers mark or label -- only because of the number of makers who unfortunately never labelled their work. (lots made this type and style of trunk) Even parts for trunks were made by different companies and purchased by the makers so there are a lot of shared parts, which makes identifying them difficult. It has a lovely lithograph on the lid, and the tin looks marvelous. Welcome to CW and thank you for the post!

      Good show T-mon. This is a really nice one. I must need to go bed as I can't tell which pic is upside-down.
      Can we get the dimensions on this?
