Here is the first of a few old sand casting plate molds I won at an estate auction that I was working as a runner. It is made from cast aluminum and can produce 4 ashtrays per pour. The ashtray shows a serviceman grabbing a busty gals behind and she hollers "OH!". I tried to find finished product on the internet for months with no success. The Appleton, Wis. casting piece. along with many other tools, forms, crucibles and casting forms were won for a whopping $30.
Great find!!! I love it!!
Thank you, Thank you Lee
Thanks for the love bratjdd !
Thanks bratjdd, that's the sale I quit bidding the Hires cooler at $240 and let some pesky kid have it, I really wanted that but probably for the better : )
Thank you blunderbuss, I appreciate the love
If you ever cast any, I will buy one to send Mani as a make up present.
Thank you walksoftly
I think that would get a serviceman arrested now!
Going to pour your own? :-)
I actually should pour the oarlock and line cleat molds for vintage boat restoration parts. I will post them tomorrow, suns already set here.
I should attempt to make a few blunderbuss, although I left the cooker due to the weight of all the bricks it was lined with and the burner unit was missing. I been saving pre-1982 pennies for years, so copper would be nice.
MattyG, I am next if you make any....!!!!! Please :)))
Different to have not bad.
For Mani, lead will pass. Ah, shipping cost by weight! LOL
