I saw this from the front of the GW this morning and ran to the back and grabbed it. I really expected it to be a huge amount of money but it wasn't. Only fifteen bucks for this really nice portrait. I love the colors and style and the model is nice too. This is a case were everything but the date was available and still no ID for this artist. Nothing online so far. It says it's done in acrylic on the stretcher which became widely available in the early 60's. So I think that's pretty close for a date give or take a few years may be even the 70's. The paint is cracking a bit and the canvas has yellowed on the back from age. The frame is a bit of a mess. Someone tried to touch up the white insert and didn't stay within the lines very well. She'll have to be stored. The walls are full...lol -Mike-
I've been trying to tell you to build more:)
Wow - this might be such a long shot since you posted this almost over ten years ago. Do you still have this painting? The artist is my great uncle!
