Here is one of my favorite necklaces from collection of women's jewelry. It was purchased at a moving estate auction of two professors of African History at Penn State University. They were moving to Arizona and decided the quickest way to liquidate the remaining contents of their home was to have an absolute auction. I was working as a runner at the auction and felt horrible for the owners because only 6 people showed up for the auction. An absolute auction means it goes to the highest bidder with no reserves, so therefore I did very well, winning over 50 pieces of sterling jewelry and a hand knotted antique Persian rug for less than $150 total. This choker necklace is made of Malachite and sterling silver and has 4 onyx beads as well as Mother of Pearl, Onyx and another stone or material I am having trouble identifying that is all in the pendant.
Malachite is not listed as sub-category so I subbed under sterling, which I would not consider the highlight of the piece.
Wow, really cool vintage piece!!! Very Tribal!!
Thank you Lee, maybe she bought it back from Africa ?

There are no REAL brass anchours. Take a few general pics for us/me. Very little around me that isn't nautical.
Thank you much vetraio50

The central bead looks to be made of shell and mother-of-pearl pieces.
