I picked up two of these swords at a garage sale a few months ago. The guy claimed to be a major collector of military antiques, but now looking back on it.....I am not sure I trust him at all. I will not claim that either of the swords are authentic, and recognize that they are most likely fakes. I have seen similar ones online, but none with this metal handle....mostly wood. If anyone has a comment or info about these please help.

This sword has a matching scabbard, both have the serial number "2691"
The handle has some stamps on the metal that oddly enough look like silver hallmarks. There are some other random numbers, and the name written on the blade (picture 3). Looks like it says, "Eulle Tuin 1872". Any info, please share thanks!!!! If it is real I will post the other one.

I remembered that the grips were brass as soon as saw it. Vetraio50 pegs it & you obviously have an original. By the way, the blade curves away from the muzzle because these were still black powder days & the bore needed to be swabbed as often as possible. Recommended every 10 shots.

      I think what looks like a 7 might actually be a 4.
