Cast Iron Daschund Doorstop or Bookend

Dont really know much about this and would like some help in identifying origin and maker possibly. This is what I do know...

Excellent one piece casting with original paint -

Color-Black
6 pounds
11 inches height
4 inches depth at nose
4+ inches depth at lower hunched leg

No makers mark whatsoever.
I believe it to be 100% original.

I am fairly certain that it came from a highly desireable, collectable cast iron company. Like Hubley or Griswold/Wagner or Judd.
