Hi guys!
Let me introduce to you one of my favorite vintage glass items. Just take a look at this young lady: isn’t she cute! She’s so young, she’s full of life and energy… This well known masterpiece is made c. 1930 in Inwald's glass factory in Böhmische schweiz. (Josef Inwald, Edler von Waldtreu, Glasfabrikant (1837-1906)

I bought it on online auction. The seller was not quite aware about the slight difference between the uranium and Murano glass, as he listed the item as “Murano glass figurine”. After five minutes Google search I was sure, I won’t miss this opportunity: this was a sleeper. The question was, is this uranium glass or not, but fot the price of a bottle of cheep whisky the answer didn't matter; after a day all the secrets were revealed: the dancing lady was shining with a wonderful glow under black light. Call it secession, Art Deco, Art Nouveau – what is the difference? She’s just wonderful .
So what, am I happy? By no means…
She is a flower frog, she needs her bowl. And I bet it is the most stylish of all flower frog bowls of those times, just search Google Images about “Josef Inwald Dancing Girl”;
Thank you for reading.
