Picked this up first thing this morning at the local GW. It has a really unusual shape and the colors are great. It's not very big only about 7" tall. The interior is cased in white glass, the colors are in the middle, and the outside appears to be a clear layer of glass. One chip/flake to the top edge and a tiny nick but it really doesn't show all that much because of the colors. -Mike-

Note : Many thanks to czechman who owns the not so identical twin to this vase and the info he provided ! :)

Thanks JayHow.. It's so hard to get things from the thrifts without damage. The edges are very thin and delicate and they bang things around and throw them in carts. It's bound to happen. I hear things break in the back room all the time and wonder what expensive thing they've broken now. Actually I try not to think abut it...lol.

I was thinking Rückl but would like to see a clearer rim pic.

Ok czechman, I'll take it outside and let you know. Need my glasses too...lol

Nope no mark. Bottom has sort of an orange peel texture to it. Not completely smooth.

Guess I can change the title of my post. Since you own it's fraternal twin and we have a positive ID. Thanks czechman :)

I'm sorry Mike but this is not the Kaleidoscope decor. It's an end of day or spatter glass decor. Can you add a closeup of the rim detailing the glass layering?

I swapped the one picture of the top out for the closeup charcoal. I hope this helps. It's a bit blurry, not the best camera. You can see how the colors bleed into the white layer though.

Hello Mike, Thanks for the better rim picture. Unfortunately, it is not quite clear enough to answer my question. What I am wondering is if it has a very thin glossy clear lining or innermost casing layer like this vase.

It kinda looks like it but it is hard to tell.

Yes it does charcoal. You can see three distinct layers. Thin clear layer inside, then the white and color layer in the middle and a clear outer layer exactly like your picture. My camera doesn't focus well that close for a picture but I can see it.

Yep, four layers if you count the color one separately.
