I like when photos really speak of an era, and this whole chart-sized book of photos for use in a classroom really exemplifies the late 60s/early 70s for me [probably because that's where i spent a lot of time during those years]. This was used as a resource for schools in order to elicit open-ended reactions and promote sociology discussions, i assume. I think that the photos are interesting because they each have a creative/fun element, as well as showing issues which were considered important at the time. They are provocative, but not antagonistic.
I like the last photo, the boy looks frustrated. He spent all that time building a place for his truck & it won't fit through the doorway! :-)
his asian friend is teaching him how he can engineer a garage correctly. his latino friend just wants to keep moving the firetruck around and make vroom noises. the teacher is telling the kids at the table that their punishment is over and they can go wreck the things the good kids made now.
That could be a definite possibility! :-)
