So this one really had me flustered. The first and third photos are of my vase, and the second and fourth photos are a match to my glaze style and has the same impressed crown and "Dep" mark. The vase I found was listed as a William Goebel West German vase(the same company that produces Hummel figurines), maybe by the artist Walter Bosse. Happy dance!! I was so excited that I had to post it right away.
I would have that solved for you if I would have seen the bottom first time:)
Thanks Moonstone and Sean:)
your very welcome sara:)
Thanks nldione:)
Thanks amberose:)
Well done. The crown!
Thank you Vetraio and manikin:)
Thanks Phil:)
So I just found out that the word Dep is on many German and French antiques and means registered.
Thanks walksoftly, this was a hard one to figure out. the stamped mark was partially covered by glaze and their aren't many examples of Goebel vases online.
actually both pieces are not the normal goebel stuff...
they are both absolute marvelous and even i see lots of goebel over here in germany i've never seen this quality more than one or two times in five years...
they are really rare!
and i'm jealous i should admit! keepes for sure!!!
Thank you so much getthatmonkey,I was starting to wonder why it was so difficult to compare.
Thank you Inky:)
Thanks Getthat monkey for the love and helpful comment:)
