I have here a nameless manufactureless antique bicvcle. I have had it for some time now and found it. I knew this was not garbage and looked old but not sure how old. I looked over the body and other parts of the bicycle and could not locate any identification numbers. The bicycle has 2 wooden rims with Universal brand tires on the rims. It also has wooden foot pegs and it is shaft driven or chainless. The oil lantern on the front looks to be in nice shape. The frame is not bent but the rear wooden rim is slightly bent probably because it is wood. I have scoured the web trying to find another bike similiar to mine with no luck. The bike is functional but I have never rode it. I am just very interested in the make and year of this nice old bike.
If anyone could help in my quest and could take the time to share any imformation with me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for the time spent,

I placed this item in the motorcycle category but I am sorry it is not a motorcycle but it was the only category close to this bicycle.
Neat. So it has a drive shaft on the starboard side with a universal at each end? Actually, I think a chain would hold up a lot better & probably why you don't see them now but do see chains.
1894 league cycle company of hartford con. shaft drive. it was later sold to columbia. i love it and would love to own it :). looks like a older restoration and i it looks like pedals are not original as is the grips and repop tires..
