Wilhelm Anton Kamp (born 1879 and died in his Studio 1951)
He was german stein producing company Thewalt's chief designer allready when he was 18 years old. Prior to starting with the Thewalt company, Wilhelm Kamp studied sculpture at the local technical college of ceramic under Ernst Barlach and Ernst Dümler, who taught him relief designs.
Kamp designed numbers 1 to 816 in the time from 1897 and 1914 for Thewalt.
Even I don't like beer steins and normally saltglazed pieces are not my cup of tea as well I liked this one somehow...
