I purchased this at an estate auction recently. I believe it is brass, but not certain. It is extremely heavy.
Each horse appears to have been cast in two section. Is on an 8 inch base and is 8 inches to the top of the mare's ear. It is in excellent condition void of scratches, abrasions etc. There are no numbers, initials, or identifying tabs.
I am curious if anyone has ever seen one of these sculptures or has any idea when it might have been cast? Will appreciate any comments or information.
