This nice deco piece was picked by my friend Robert last week, but he's not sure what it came off of. We think '42 DeSoto, but not 100% sure. Anyway, I'm making him the base for it, out of walnut and a mystery wood bottom, nothing is attached just yet, but I'm working on it!!! Too Hot here right now!!
Wish I could find these too, gotta start lookin'!!
Thanks Phil, any thoughts on the orig.?
Thank you for the Love walksoftly!!
Thank-you Phil, for the compliment. I have one other I'm working on too!Pictures to follow someday soon!
The piece has many #'s on the bottom,976218, and a stylizedDCPD, followed by5424A
Very nice indeed glad I followed link
Thank-you Zowie, gargoyle, pw-collector, vetraio, fifties, blunderbuss, Matty, & Mani for the "loves"!!
Trying to think what car it is off
I love the way designers dreamed up this type of pure art for cars.
Thank you for letting me know they are brilliant aren't they the things people come up with I wish I had that sort of imagination.
STUNNING!!!!!!
Thank-you Perry, Sean, and Zowie for the nice comments!!
It's a pleasure I will find out 1 day what car it comes off I'll wait for when my partner is here & am on this site I'll show him he may have a idea.
Zowie, it's from a 1942 DeSoto.
Hi I said I would find out, they were put out by General Motor's great piece.
Thank-you all for showing the love on this beautiful piece. It's all done and going back to it's home, wish I could find one like it too!!
I know where there is one but not in as good condition as this & a really good price, it has some pitting that I would just put down to age as it is original & not mounted just sitting on top of metal hood from what I can tell by picture
Well go get it Zowie!!
My partner is not interested as he said would cost to much to redo & sell as that would be what happens to said piece we did think about it & made call until he changed his mind I still think it would be worth it
Thank-you Mani and ttomtucker for the "loves"!!
Thank you artislove and kingshawn for the love.
Cheers! !
