Avis Amelinda has black face and white body!

I got her for Christmas as a child. I loved her and took very good care of her. As I got older I put her back in her box (as I did my other 4 cabbage patch babies). I put her in the top of my closet and couldn't wait till I had a child to share them with. Avis was my first baby, so she was very special. When I got her down from the shelf, I was surprised to see that she was no longer the way I left her, the white had faded and her face was now black. I know that the first year they came out there was a shortage, I wonder if they sprayed some faces to keep up with the demand and had Mismatched some faces to bodies?? Not sure!? I contacted the company and they said they had no other inquiries about this!
