This is a fairly common and lower valued WWI German bayonet made by Simson & Co. Suhl that was found in the large farm estate last winter. A little rough and missing clip on scabbard. I also found a Fitchell & Sachs Schweinfurt bayonet with hallmarks on the blade close to the end but had to pass it along a while back to cover my costs. The other bayo was nicer and mistakenly deleted all the photos but did make a video to remember the pick.

My guess is WWI with that leather scabbard if original. I had a Simpson WWI Mauser that I wildcat'd in the 60's in .22-250.

I'm back, been on the road blunderbluss, just returned late last night. I bought a ships clock, u.s. navy buships telescopic alidale and a few other things but they were bidding hard, the big pieces did good money
I'll give you a few days to poste your booty as I fly back to the "Rock" tomorrow. My best find, besides 53 lbs of silver coins, is Southern BBQ. Run out of room in my "cheater-bag" & may have to chose between my pc or the BBQ. Hard choice but figure I'll tie the BBQ around my neck & tell them it's BBQ on a rope or a Southern charm necklace.
Wow blunderbuss, 53lbs of coins should keep you busy for a while looking for key dates. I think my best finds were 3 old bank advertising coin banks for $5 at a flea market we passed on the way. I would post but was thinking of putting them on the bay to cash in.
Matty, I couldn't believe it. Had to do a "duck walk" just t get that merde into the living room! I separated them into dimes, quarters, halves, dollars etc.. Found somebody who seems honest to help market them. A Christian, but that kind of worries me. What else can we do? Out of the 53 lbs, I culled about 2 lbs that the dates were illegable for scrap. Wish there was help but could take months to sort & identify them & I don't live there. Have to admit that it was a trip hauling 53 lbs of silver & knowing half was mine. Any ideas? Have some rare 1820's - 1889 English "crowns" etc. that are mine & don't know how to market them.
